The Role
We’re looking for an Account Director to lead and grow relationships within our Built Environments practice—someone who understands how complex spatial projects are sold, scoped, and expanded over time.
This role sits at the intersection of client partnership and business growth. You’ll be responsible for building deep, trusted relationships with clients while identifying and shaping opportunities that turn into meaningful, long-term work.
You won’t just manage accounts—you’ll grow them, guiding clients through the evolution of their environments and experiences.
This is not a transactional sales role.
This is about building partnerships around ambitious, high-impact environments.
What You’ll Do
- Own and grow key client relationships within the built environments space
- Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and help shape them into scoped, actionable work
- Partner with internal teams to develop proposals, scopes, and strategic recommendations
- Lead client conversations with confidence—balancing vision, feasibility, and business outcomes
- Translate client goals into clear direction for design, technology, and production teams
- Collaborate closely with Producers to ensure continuity from sale through delivery
- Maintain a strong understanding of project scope, budgets, and timelines to support smart growth
- Contribute to new business efforts, leveraging your network and industry experience
What You Bring
- 8–12+ years of experience in account leadership, business development, or client services within built environments
- Background in exhibit houses, AV integration firms, design-build agencies, or similar industries
- Proven ability to grow accounts and drive revenue through long-term client relationships
- Experience selling and scoping complex, multi-phase projects
- Strong understanding of how physical environments are designed, built, and delivered
- Confidence navigating conversations with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Ability to balance client ambition with practical execution realities
