NEXT/NOW built a custom digital interface for Avocado’s “Avo-matic” food truck for South by Southwest (SXSW), “South Bites”. The diners were instructed to smile as a dial measured the size of their grin using a proprietary facial emotion tracking software.

If the smile was held large and long enough, users were congratulated with a reward screen, a picture of them mid-smile as a social sharable, and 3D animation of a robot to provide recipes and avocado hacks until the “Avo-matic” delivered their custom food.
