Experiential LED Activation
Morton Salt celebrated the Morton Salt Girl’s 100th birthday with an all day event held in Pioneer Court in September of 2014. NEXT/NOW not only helped plan, design and execute the event, but also developed 9 hours of motion graphics that were displayed on a 10’ tall Experiential LED canister. The content reel consisted of the standard Morton Salt canister, a display of Chicago scenes, photos from the photo booth activation, and the highlight: submitted designs from the Art of Salt canister design competition. Over 200 designs were received in a submission portal website built by NEXT/NOW (mortonartofsalt.com) and upwards of 25 designs were included in the motion graphics display. This larger-than-life canister brought excitement and drew large crowds – even Chicago’s mayor Rahm Emanuel, who declared September 25 “Morton Salt Girl Day.”
This activation won a 2015 Business Marketing Association Gold Tower Award for Best Marketing Activation.
